TEV Protease MammoBlock
This part encodes a the N1a catalytic proteolytic domain of the tobacco etch virus (TEV). This domain recognizes the amino acid sequence ENLYFQX (where X is a variable amino acid) with unparalleled specificity, and is typically used for the removal of tags made for protein purification. This sequence has been codon-optimized for use in mammalian cells.
